In 1911, Maggie was servant to Mrs Cain,
who ran the Post Office at 9 Netherfield Road, Liverpool [5]. By 1938, Maggie and her sister Martha were running the
post office themselves [7]. Their
cousin's son Nicol, in 1938/9 a teenage radio officer in the merchant navy,
would stay with them when he was in Liverpool [6].
