Reg was born in 1897 or early 1898 in Chilham, Kent [1]. By 1901 he was living with his parents in Lydd [1]. He married Susan Wright, and they settled in Lydd and had seven children [2]. Reg was also the projectionist in the thatched "Barn" cinena before the war [2].
