Charlotte Bush was born in
Canterbury in 1863. In 1881 she was employed as house servant to Levi
Jacobs, Taylor, and his wife Genette at 20 High Street,
Canterbury.
In 1883 she married John T. (Tom) Browning, who had been a lodger
at her family home in nearby Stour Street. Over the next 17 years
they lived in York Road, Canterbury, and had nine children. In
the early 1900s, the family moves to Lydd, living at Gladstone
Villas on the south side of the Rype.
Charlotte died in 1929 at the age
of 66.[5]
