In 1861 and 1871, James Browning
was employed by a brewery, and lived at number 2 Union Row in Ivy
Lane, St Mildreds, Canterbury with his wife and family.
James died in 1876 at 2 Union Row, aged 49,
of Pulmonary Tuberculosis [5].
In 1881, his two youngest children Albert
and James were living with their married sister, Mary Churchill.
