William was born in 1820
at Womenswold, to Robert and Elizabeth Fagg. In the mid 1840s he
married Caroline. By 1861 they lived in Woolage Green, in the parish
of Womenswold.
Gravestone near door of
Womenswold churchyard, inscribed "In memory of WILLIAM the
dearly beloved husband of CAROLINE FAGG who peacefully departed
this life December 18th 1886 Aged 66 years. Safe in the arms of
Jesus." Caroline has a matching stone beside his.
