In 1885, Jane married
Angus McKellar, a "slaughterhouse operative", and in
1887 they had a son James. Jane was present at the death in 1894
of her father Peter, when she lived at 63 Holmscroft Street in
Greenock. In 1901 Jane and her family lived at 66 Wellington
Street in Greenock.
