William was born in about 1836 in St.
Pancras[2,3], to James and Hannah Buxton[2]. He was employed as a
clerk, first with a solicitor[2] and then with a railway[3]. In about 1856 he married Sophia Graham[5],[10],[12]. In 1858 their son William was born, at
their home at 123 Great College Street, Camden Town. By 1881 he
was still employed as a railway clerk and lived at 91 Huddleston
Road, London with his wife and family [5].
