Ada was born in Bermondsey in about 1872,
to Frederick & Jane Lee. She married Stephen Dungate in 1891, and in 1892
when her first son was born they were living with her parents at 6 Weston Place
in Bermondsey. A brief description of this part of Bermondsey in the 1890s is
given here.
From then until the end of the century they lived in Camberwell
and Lambeth.
By 1901, Ada was a widow
and lived at 12 Tennyson Road, South Wimbledon with her children,
and was employed as a laundry ironer. In her later years she
continued to live in South Wimbledon, where she was still living
in the late 1920s.
